We started with just the two of us, me (justin) on acoustic guitar and Andrew improvising comical lyrics from a given topic. Than we gradually evolved from improvising lyrics to writing lyrics which kept comedy in mind, but also real messages of life when looked at in a different perspective. Dan soon joined and added a whole new element to the group. Me(justin) and Dan have been playing together for a while so he fit in perfect. Nick, is the drummer. We've known nick for a while aswell so he fit in quite slendid. Than there's Mike, he is our bassist. Last we have Brendan, he sings and can play bass in case mike is not there... We do a lot of acoustic songs live and are very involved with the audience. Don't get me wrong, we do love to pull out the electrics and rock the place, but we started out acoustic and most songs are written on the acoustic. Now we have a whole boat load of songs done and are preparing to record our first demo.
Justin:
I play rythm/lead guitar, and piano. My musical inspirations are Led Zeppelin, Randy Rhoads, Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Hives, The Beatles, Django Reinhardt, C.S.N.Y, Tenacious D, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Nirvana, The Clash and The Strokes(plus others, but im getting tired..). Right now I'm listening to Chile Peppers "Blood Sex Sugar Magik" and Jimmy Hendrix "Are you experienced?"
Andrew:
I do vocals, and if needed rythm guitar, My musical inspiriation is Nirvana, The White Stripes, The beatles, The eagles, Allman brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Tenacious D, creedence clearwater revival, neil young, pink floyd, some others. Rite now i am listening to " Nirvana- Plateau and The White Stripes- Offend in Every way.
Dan:
They tell me i'm going to be playing lead guitar (by "they" I don't mean Justin and Andrew. I mean the voices in my head...). My inspirations are (in order of appearance): Black Sabbath, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beatles, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Carl Perkins, Jimi Hendrix, and The Hives. Currently, the CD's scattered around my stereo are The Beatles (1), Black Sabbath (Black Sabbath and Paranoid), all 3 White Stripes cd's, and Metallica (Ride the Lightning).
Nick:
My name is Nick. I dont have much to say about myself, except, I LOVE
DRUMMING. Some inspirations to me are Carter Beuford from Dave Matthews Band, Chad Sexton from 311, Nirvana, Bob Marley, Weezer, The White Stripes,Tool, Tenacious D, Sublime, Chili Peppers, Primus, and thats about it. I dont have anything in my cd player like everyone else because I was on
vacationa and took my cds out of it.
Mike:
Yea, I’m Mike, or so you might have guessed by the thing that says my name above this. I was supposed to be the live bassist, but something changed, and you could call me the “permanent bassist†now. My influences are Nirvana, Finch, The Used, The Vines, Taking Back Sunday, Coheed and Cambria, Flickerstick, Glassjaw, and Thursday. The current CDs in my CD player are, Nirvana- “In Uteroâ€, Taking Back Sunday- “Tell All Your Friendsâ€, and Thursday- “Full Collapseâ€.
Brendan:
I'm Brendan. Pretty much what I'm doing in this band is singing along with some back-up bass. I've always been good at writing lyrics, and of course singing those lyrics. Fav.
